Hi! I’m Amy.
I’m a natural foods chef, culinary instructor, and recipe writer who specializes in making whole, real, unprocessed food delicious.
AND…
I’m also a parent, just like you. Which means my life is fuller than I ever believed possible and I’m usually busier than I’d like.
It means that even though I’ve spent years going to culinary school, teaching about healthy eating, and working professionally in the natural foods industry, I’m always looking for new, fast ways to get a healthy dinner on table.
It also means that even though I’m all about whole, real, unprocessed food you will most certainly find a mostly-empty Costco sized box of Goldfish in our pantry and some wilting kale in the refrigerator.
It means that I know when you have one second of silence you might prefer not to spend your time scouring the internet for recipes that only turn out ok. Or that you keep hoping to find a healthy meal your family actually likes. Or that creating shopping lists is the bane of your existence.
It means I know that you don’t have hours to spend in the kitchen to make everything from scratch. That’s why I review favorite products and services that can make healthy eating easier. And why I share my favorite finds in my Friday emails.
It also means that you might find me posting here less than I like because I can barely write a sentence without one of my boys crawling into my lap. And what parent can pass up a snuggle?
